Sisters Middle School Students enrolled in Language Arts classes cover a variety of skills, including reading comprehension, writing, speaking and listening, and language usage. In these middle grades, students will delve deeper into literary analysis, explore more complex texts, and develop advanced writing skills. Reading comprehension includes understanding and interpreting fiction and non-fiction texts, while writing tasks often involve crafting essays, narratives, and research papers. As students grow in their skills there is also an increased emphasis on media literacy and critical analysis of various forms of communication.
